I think Luclin was a more "In depth" expansion than the rest; retextured world, AA's, new playable race/class, LOTS more added in luclin than any other expansion.

SoL had a lot going for it with some truly amazing feeling zones but it spelled the beginning of the end with The Nexus and AAs imposed ridiculous demands on new players, it may have seemed like a good idea at the time but god help anyone new who wants to get into EQ these days. Guilds require lvl 100 and 1k AA for serious end game. Not that anyone new goes to Everquest Live in 2013, Year of Our Lord.
