The problem is, you don't have to "beat" on the melee (Warrior/Rogue). You just have to send a weak ass pet at him and laugh as he can't do anything to help his group.

Maybe if he's in that situation, the group should be doing something to help HIM. Keeping a pet tied up isn't a terrible contribution as a melee.
Inb4 SK pets which he could just beat down pretty fast (but should still get dispelled by a group mate).
