"This body is not me; I am not caught in this body, I am life without boundaries, I have never been born and I have never died. Over there the wide ocean and the sky with many galaxies All manifests from the basis of consciousness. Since beginningless time I have always been free. Birth and death are only a door through which we go in and out. Birth and death are only a game of hide-and-seek. So smile to me and take my hand and wave good-bye. Tomorrow we shall meet again or even before. We shall always be meeting again at the true source, Always meeting again on the myriad paths of life.”"

Maybe. Or maybe we're just a bunch of molecular automatons, organized chemistry, that at some point found an evolutionary advantage in calming itself with catharsis and meaning, because it became intelligent enough to recognize the existential horror of waking up in what can often seem like a nightmarish meatgrinder.
Suicide often happens with people who are in a state of defeat and/or 'arrested flight', the perception that there is no viable course of action-- like a gazelle in jaws of a lion. Usually depression is involved, not always. Either way, when we are in that state, we are spectacularly unqualified to actually objectively consider all our options. Your state of mind acts like a prism that refracts thoughts, facts, judgment-- and makes it all lead to death when it otherwise wouldn't.
Get help. Believe it or not, modern medicine does have interventions that can pull you out of this, in a way that will surprise and amaze you when you look back on it.
