Yes the federal reserve is evil. "Nationalizing" all those banks that fucked us over 5 years ago.(most of those banks we are no longer shareholders of and made a profit from it). Putting fucking screws to JP Morgan after decades of wall street bullshit. Creating a guarantee that if your bank is robbed your money is safe. Trying its best to protect against bank runs. Doing its best to manipulate an economic climate to pay for Bush/Cheney's 8 years of ineptitude. Ill even give you this one, trying to pay for Clinton's "Houses for everybody" stance that caused assholes to bet against mortgage backed securities.
It's a tool. It is the same thing as a missle, or a green beret, or a screwdriver. It can be used for good or evil. It can be ran competently or stupidly. It is not inherently "socialist".
