"liberals" and "conservatives" have identical policies

Only a few minor social policy differences separate the 2 parties and they are separate by design to give us the illusion of choice.

Both parties have the same positions on monetary policy, foreign policy, fiscal policy (minor differences that dont matter) and adhere to the central philosophical premise that the federal government can use force against the people, against their will, through taxation and other tyrannical mechanisms of the state.

If you identify as an R or a D, a Conservative, or a liberal in this day and age witht he wealth of human information at your fingertips, you are a lost cause and should commit suicide.

lron, if you have been acting a tool for a year just to set up for suddenly brilliant political analysis, I will herald you as a server legend.

Only time will tell if this is just a random and accidental occurrence or if this will mark the beginning of a trend.

Oh no, there's lots of conservatives in Murica. There just aren't any liberals.

Couldn't agree more. The image they each portray is different than what actually happens when they legislate.

I think it comes down to Liberal voters believe they are more intelligent and conservative voters think they are more moral, so each side latches on to one party to prove that to themselves and their peers. And the politicians in each party play this card to get those specific voters behind them.

100 years ago the debate was liberty vs. tyranny, not the false left vs. right paradigm

Holy crap there was even a socialist elected. This was however before all that nazi stuff.

Well you outlined the election of Woodrow Wilson, who effectively sold the country out to the international banking cartel and transformed us into a communist country with a privately owned central bank known as the "Federal" Reserve. So you marked the turning point.
