Before my break more proof that the south is still a century behind the times.
Nurse 1: (emphasize a southern belle accent) "Just now that patient called me a cracker." Nurse 2: (old white lady) What's that mean? Me: (blurted out, couldn't help it) That's a joke right? Nurse 2: No. What's it mean? Nurse 1: It's what black people call white people because they look like saltine crackers. At that point I lost it a little. Taught them properly the slur's origins.
