I totally agree, that's why I'm way more moderate atheist than a lot of the people here. If faith in god has some real benefit to your life, I'm happy you found something that works. However, it turns me the fuck off from those programs. Thank god I'm boring and only addicted to EQ and cigarettes.

I'm an atheist, too -- unless it turns out that maybe I am God -- I just don't judge what works for people and I don't demean religious people by questioning their sanity simply because they are religious. Whatever gets one through the night is really none of my business. You don't sound very moderate to me. You sound allergic to God, which can only lead me to assume you were maybe raped with a crucifix as a kid or maybe you were raised Jehova's Witness. Either way, I'm sorry and it wasn't your fault.
