out of range debuffing is already getting on my nerves.
I'd like further explanation on how this is possible.

I believe the dynamic pvp range was removed because it was too damn buggy. In beta you had high lvls casting on low lvls to enable the low lvls into pvp which was not the purpose of the system. Not sure if it can/will be fixed, but it was a brilliant idea. Ya, if you had a lvl 50 healing a lvl 20 you still probably couldn't do shit, but there are other instances (20s-40s) that it could make things fun.

nothing too serious but higher level in the same group as lower levels and cancel magic on their snares/dots etc.

It's a shame this system was removed, it was one of the major highlights of the server to make PvP as balanced as possible.

Fixed PvP range based on player's level is about as fair as it gets. And I like how this thread was started by a guy who routinely rolls around in 6 man gank squads, as if he wasn't the pk, lol.
"6 man gank squad" aka I'm a cleric and generally have a group to exp with.

Not sure what your post has to do with anything other than you're obviously mad that I PKed you or something.

Consider a group of 5 level 15s and a level 16 cleric. A 20 mage can grief the cleric, fucking with the entire group, with nothing that the group can do (unless you're me, who can kill mages 4 levels higher).
