can you comment on how the button press feels compared to a typical console controller? The other logitech controller I owned had buttons that felt distinctly shittier than any other controller I'd used
On the Logitech the X/Y/A/B are pretty tactile and responsive. Not mushy at all. The D-pad is round and mushy but I don't use the D-pad a lot. The bumpers are crisp, but the triggers are slightly on the stiff side. The Logitech works great for me, but I bought it a couple years ago and there's probably better products on the market now. If I had to replace it today I would be looking at one of the two options below.

DualShock 4 Wireless Controller for PlayStation 4. It costs only $45 on Amazon, and I think PS4 makes a very comfortable and capable controller, but just know that it's not really plug-n-play. It will require some mapping setup for PC gaming.

Microsoft Xbox One Controller + Wireless Adapter for Windows 10 It costs a bit more at $66, but this is easier to setup for PC than the PS4 controller and is more comfortable for better for people who have larger hands.

I'd use it but I can't seem to find any drivers for Windows 7.

Is XB1 plug and play? Or you have to map it?

You can find PS4 controllers for 35-45 dollars on sale. I just picked up a xb1 controller with wireless adapter for 54 for Open box from Best Buy and it works fine.

Thanks rollin to bestbuy tonight. No more painfully scrolling and awkwardly fumbling and clicking through New Vegas menus.

Also I'll be damned if that special targeting system isn't designed for console 100%. Theres nothing PC about that target system. You guys are psychos for using a keyboard and mouse for that game (and other ports I have yet to come across)

V.A.T.S? It sucks. Main reason I'm wanting a controller.

Oooooo I had one of those, was the best controller. Dogfights in bf1942 and wwii online were great with that.
Right now I just have a logitech ps controller. Yeah buttons were sticky at first, but it loosened up well.

Found out the long dark works perfectly fine on my 4yo laptop with intel hd. You can set the res way way down, though looks pretty bad below 640x400 med grfx settings, not that I'm running it that low (1280x600 I think). After 18hrs over the past few days, I say easily it earns it's 'very positive' steam rating for a single-player survival game.

Sales not over yet, think I might pick up the two geometry wars games. Also maybe car mechanic simulator hehe.
