When I first came across the project I was excited. It only took a few mins of browsing the forums to figure out that yeahlight was full of shit.

Sucks for the people who were really waiting for this, I really never understood what this guy was doing that was going to be so much greater than what has been done here. Using the classic client would be the big difference I suppose. Not really surprised to see this particular project end the way it did though, the posts I read from Yeahlight over the years always left me thinking that he didn't really have any motivation to finish it.

Really liking the idea of possibility of Trilogy client one day, started in (I guess) LDoN/LoY era (thought it was planes, but after trying mac I realize I'm even less classic than I thought, almost always had maps in my experience) not sure how one would go about using the block ui on a non-square screen but (I would hope) it could at least be resized to be used as a square in higher resolutions.
Keep up the good work! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] (if thats what you fancy atm) [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I bet if I connect the local copy of the EQC DB that was essentially an ax_classic clone (trust me, nothing has changed drastically DB-wise judging from his changelog) that it would work with EOC. Quote:
I am floored at how much they use their own arrogance to this day to put down EQEmulator's work and others in general. It is trivial to do what they have done if you just load up EQMac's client and have a copy of IDA and a lot of spare time; It disassembles with debugging symbols for crying out loud. The argument that they are ahead of EQEmulator and P99 is moot. As Rogean said, their source probably wouldn't have much value to P99 anyways. Rogean and his team have reverse engineered most of Titanium to the same calibur that they have reverse engineered the Trilogy client, if not more due to the client hooks. Quote:
The only reason their code base is even semi-valuable to EQEmulator is if we used it as a reference, it would be helpful. I doubt anyone would blindly run their source code, much as you would not blindly run an application on your computer. They are right there. It would simply be historical.

Gotta give the guy props - he put a lot of work into this project. Those slamming him don't know shit, but hey, that's ok. Even though I've played enough EQ for a lifetime, I think it's cool that people still want to keep the legacy going.
