This was added to Phinigal when epics came out. Mage staff should remain though.

This was added at the time epics were put in. It definitely did not exist before Kunark.

Earliest comment on the page you linked is from March 2000, so clearly it wasn't added after epics came out.

The page is for the mob. The mob existed, the staff didn't.

This item has been changed to 1hb, and its part of the wizard FA quest.
Sounds like originally it was supposed to be 2hb.

Added as part of the wizard epic quest. Just like the Skeen in Steam Font. Go ahead and put that in [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.].
