How is p99?

I haven't logged on in around 6 months or more. I'm genuinely curious here, not trying to fan the flames of drama.


Relative to 6 months ago:

-How is the server doing?
-Population/economy stable (other than predictable market fluctuations)?
-Competitive raiding still a perpetual poopsockfest? Or have some of the more marginal targets become more available?
-Epic mobs still hoarded?

After a hiatus and a much needed breather I may be stepping back into the game.

Population is as high as its ever been, 1500 some nights

I think we hit 2K on Velious launch but that was it for 2K nights

1500 is this a joke? i came back expecting classic experience but got a dead experience in orc hill of all places during prime time, back in 1999 it was great taking on orc hill with the peeps, but now its just me soloing and selling orc belts to twinks, kind of a lame experience if you really did play in the 90's

A lot more people can just solo slaughter blue mobs at low levels due to the proliferation of nice droppable equipment this late in the game. If you advertise people will probably stop killing easy crocs and come kill orcs with you.

The places that used to have 50 xp groups like LOIO, OT, DL, it is the same. Mistmoore and crushbone usually have many players, but less groups than classic, because gear is better and tactics have advanced since then, so groups can kill much more.

My goals other than working slowly towards bard epic have been strictly casual and family friendly guild based.

Bard epic needs white scales. I don't think Vox / Gore are highly contested but I could be wrong. UDB for dragon guts is up all the time.

- There's something going on at the super high end but we'll see if it actually goes somewhere. It's the rise of the filthy casual scum!

- Eh. If you're talking about white dragon scales...those mobs still go down pretty much ASAP.
