Spells: Call of Sky with bows

Hi there, I just got 39 with my ranger and found that call of sky isn't working with archery / bows.

I found a post from 2004 stating it works with main hand / off hand / AND ranged.

Honestly it just doesn't even make sense why rangers - a bow class - would get a proc that doesn't affect their bows.

SK proc tap doesn't work with bows either right

don't think it should, so therefore call of sky = naw also?

Please provide in-era evidence. Your link from 2004 proves nothing without correlating data from the timeline.

I don't see how the 2004 reference isn't sufficient, since there was never any change to Call of Sky.

How do you know there was never a change? Maybe things were changed and not put in patch notes over the years. Someone as small as a proc on a weapon might have gone unwritten. Trust me being a ranger i'm all for stuff to add to our DPS but also want to make sure its correct. I dont remember if it did or didnt work back in luclin era on live(when i made my halfling ranger).

Well, the best evidence I can give is anecdotal. My friend mained a Shadowknight, and used to proc vampiric embrace (rarely) with his bow when pulling. I've been looking on castersrealm. I'll find something.

To everyone who wonders why this spell doesn't go off when you kick or use your bow, it's very simple the spell is a weapon buff melee only. Your hands and feet are not counted as a weapon and your bow is counted as a ranged weapon not a melee weapon The spell has no effect on either your feet nor your bow....
