I just use the Vert Blue UI with classic spell icons, never cared for Luclin+ icons.

Bank 1:
Spell Macros
Jboots/instant click
Assist Key
Sit
Rez macro
Donal's macro

Bank 2:
Item spots tied to keys for bank 1
Other items with right click effects
Other macros indicating non-heal spells or other important messages.

Bank 3:
Targeting hotkeys for common tanks/pullers/enchanters

I'm still a little confused, like your bp has a clicky and your wearing it, so you can drag it into a hot button slot and click it from there? Can you do that with items in bags too?

also Is this an old screen shot? I thought the compass got nerfed

It is an old screen shot from an explanation of how to hotkey a healing macro with an item click.

You can add any item to a hotbar and associate a key press to activate it rather than opening your inventory to right click it. Using the alternative keypress, you can set a single key to activate two actions at once, but not two items, i.e. Flying Kick hotkey and monk epic, heal macro and donal's bp, sense heading with movement keys.

Nope. Items need to be either equipped or in a bag slot.
