![]() Hey all, just wondering if it works the same with surnames here, whether you just wanted to share a surname with a friend, like I want to do.
Or when people get married in game. Do you have to petition a GM to have the same one or can you both just take the same surname when you get to 20?

![]() There are no restrictions on surnames with regard to someone else already using it as far as I know.

![]() you get a surname without a GM's assistance at level 20 with the command /surname
the only time you need assistance is when you A) want to change your surname, B) would like to have ONE (1) apostrophe (`) in your name, or B) want a second capital letter where appropriate in a name like McLain or Lanys`Tyl Then you would use the command /petition
