Default Pickpocketing duplicate items on charmed pets

Essentially, at the moment if you pickpocket a pet that's had its charm broken, you can pickpocket a torch... and it gets to keep the torch its holding.

I'm not sure if this applies to weapons... but perhaps worrying if someone starts doing it with stun weapons or such, assuming that worked [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Thought pick pocket didn't pick up any equippable item?

Shouldn't be able to pick pocket any weapons anyways.

I'm pretty sure that's not true. I recall a weapon on some Velious mob being changed to have the MAGIC tag specificly to stop it from being pickpocketed in the wake of some forum drama about it. IIRC, in :classic: EQ only the MAGIC tag or actually being equipped prevented an item from being pickpocketed.

You should not be able to pickpocket worn items, that is correct. I'm not sure if all undead are flagged unpickpocketable even if they have a body or if it's just skeletons. Sounds like there isn't a worn item check in place, just non magic.

Disarming a Magic weapon prevents them from being dropped on ground.

Pickpocket however shouldn't work on weapons.

This has nothing to do with Disarm.

Right, although I'm always trying to skillup disarm on whatever is holding a weapon this isn't a disarm linked problem.

Torch is equipped in the mob's secondary hand.

Charm breaks, I attempt to pickpocket and successfully pickpocket a torch.

Torch is still equipped in its secondary hand.

Has happened a few times now, and the screenshot isn't the clearest but you can see below....

He is saying the reason the weapon got made to magical is so that it didnt drop on the ground when disarmed not so that pickpocket didnt work on it. But pickpocket shouldnt work on it to begin with. Dald was just correcting the fact that your post of why the weapon was made magical was wrong.

I've found that it didn't duplicate the item, but merely didn't remove the graphic displayed once the item was disarmed/picked from the mob.

Torch isn't a weapon.
