Vesica Dei has been attempting for a week to begin talks towards re-establishing a Trakanon Rotation.

The proposed rotation would be a 3 spot rotation :
TMO
VD
Open

During the "open" spot, anyone besides TMO and VD would have whatever time window TMO and VD get for their own spots in the rotation (previously it's been 6 hours) to attempt a kill without needing to poopsock / race against us. Guilds could work together, or try alone, or an open raid could form for it.

While it's no secret that I'm also attempting to get another VP rotation established, the Trak rotation would not be tied to VP, Ragefire, or anything else. I just sincerely believe the current "competition" is being taken to ridiculous levels.

Zeelot has so far refused to have any discussion about it at all. I'm still open to talk to him of course, and hope he will eventually change his mind. And since he's determined to keep the door of private communication shut, I'm making the offer publicly.

Non-troll feedback and suggestions are welcome.

Basically the short and long of it for VP is vd has to try some targets and get grieved on for a bit to merit a rotation. Its my opinion they dont have anything to prove about trak anymore ts common knowledge that vd can get trak. Trak should be on a rotation. What it comes down to right now is spite, plain and simple.

Teddie you seem like a pretty reasonable guy. So I will give you a reasonable response.

VD needs to pick a focus. You are asking for too much with too little to back it up. VD had received most of its kills due to a raid alliance and being carried by IB. You know it, I know it... its simple fact and if your guild can't admit that they are in serious denial.
That being said, you have asked for a rotation in VP and on Trak as if you still had IB here to back you up. You don't plain and simple, you need to earn your way up just like TMO did.
When we first started here we didn't bother asking for a rotation we wiped ALOT on Trak till we got it right then we had like a 9ish+ trak streak followed by more streaks. We agreed to a trak rotation with IB+vd over the holidays because we couldn't trust to have numbers in seconds notice over the holidays.... that is the only reason. VP rotation was for the same reason and because CRing in VP is just annoying.
Trakanon rotation is definitely possible in the future but your members actions in VP are really hurting your chances in the short term.

All i can comment on about a rotation agreement is i hope that leadership from boh guilds can come to a conclusion sooner than later. I do not condone memblurring even if rogean gave it the okay, and i do not agree with 8 hour cr sessions no one wants that. Its the core of the vd occupy VP movement, no one wants to get grieved for 8 hours we can all agree thats not fun. I would suggest letting VP spawn completely and getting everyone in there at once and have one giant crazy race to mobs, that sounds like un, training and all. If TMO are truly the self-proclaimed "good guys" of the server, then they would agree to a rotation on Trak that allows for BDA, Taken, and/or Divinity to have a shot at Trak, to improve the raid scene on the server for all. They would agree to a VP rotation so they could peacefully share the zone with the other guild capable of doing it.

Seems like it's in the guild leaders' courts. As far as I'm concerned, either of the above would be a unique, promising, and altogether unexpected advance in the end-game relations on P99. Will be interesting to see if it happens, and if not, who shoots it down.

Problem is when VD got less loot than the other guilds such as Taken / Divinity etc. that we are giving the opporunity to kill mobs or have "attempts at these encounters" They will nerd rage because we are beating them on the 75% of mobs that are competed upon between VD/TMO. They will then take the mobs that are being given to Taken / Divinity / BDA / Acyrid as a QQ for having no merbs and will say its because TMO is not playing fair or that they are bullying them etc etc.

1. You can't solo a raid boss.... so taking advantage of other people in the guild is the purpose of a raid guild. Luckily we have fun while doing it go to www.themysticalorder.net to see for yourself.
2. We would like to move along to new content....however Velious isn't released yet.
3. TMO has about 50 active raiders... far less than the IB/VD squad when they were still raiding together. We also don't poopsock to see that visit the VD webpage. We clear VP with 35.

TMO's definition of (competition)- We get what mobs we want when we want no matter if we're publicly suspended or have to use exploits... even if others do beat us to the spawn they will get trained by our zerg since after all we recruited 70-80% of the server to hang off our D's for pixels.

Everyone else's - Playing the game with their friends getting a legitimate shot at downing the mob they rightfully cleared or arrived to first aka out mobilizing / experiencing the benefits of the RNG due to variance being in the right place at the right time.

I enjoy the competitive nature of the game, I don't enjoy KSing/FTE bullshit, etc. I don't enjoy training either. I don't support rotations because I get no thrill from that.

I like straight up "legit" competing, no bullshit.

What is "legit" competing? The arbitrarily rules on this server that, if the staff were so willing, could be built into the mechanics of the game (FTE = locked encounter)? All I gather from these forums is that it seems TMO prefer rules of "competition" that favor long hours at the computer or awaiting a 4am batphone because they know they'll always have an advantage in terms of hours they can play.

The ability to butthurt TMO in VP is a prime example of the ability for other guilds to compete when the rules don't weigh heavily in favor of those who simply can play longer hours or are more willing to sacrifice sleep or other social commitments to play this game.

If GM intervention in raids were removed altogether then there would be trains, memblurs, antisocial tactics, etc, until all guilds agreed that a rotation system (or some other set of player-derived rules) would be better than having a shit show of sorts.

While I wouldn't mind some sort of chance for the other guilds (minus VD) to go for Trakanon against each other. I don't see us giving VD a free slot on anything, ever.

They (VD) have long burned that bridge imo and have stated with actions they want to compete like IB was.

I'm sure we could always work something with the other guilds (minus VD) and have even tossed some ideas around. Who knows atm tho, once things get settled and in a rhythm I am sure some things will get put into motion.

Guess what? It didn't work. We cleared all of VP last week and ya know what -we'll clear all of VP this week. Memblur or not.

Look at it from an outside perspective. VD attempted to grief us on mobs they weren't even attempting to kill, using an known bug (soon to be corrected - shame VD can't even train properly - not much they can do at all after the bug is corrected) in order to utilize this grief as a bargaining chip.

TMO, on the other hand, saw this merely as a new, unique challenge to be overcome.

We should not negotiate with terrorists.

We would not negotiate then when VD used a known bug/exploit to block us for several days in VP. So why in the ever loving fuck would we negotiate now that we know how to overcome the memblur? We have much less of an incentive for any kind of talks after behavior like that from VD.

So VD feels they deserve a shot in VP? Step the hell up and compete. Don't expect it to be handed to you on a silver platter like an entitled trust fund baby. Same with Trakanon. Keep telling yourselves its all random FTE on mobs like Trakanon. After 2 months when the numbers are skewed 4 or 5 TMO Trak kills to each 1 VDs you can keep telling yourself that its random but the facts will show it to be otherwise.

TMO cleared out VP. We will keep farming it like we're Amish. Also got the last couple Traks. We're stepping it up. I hope we can get to the point where VD isn't getting 1 mob in 10. What will help is the rallying cry "Remember the Memblur". Thank you for giving us that.
