Offhand only benefits from the ratio with the damage bonus. A higher ratio is an immediate advantage. At this point, all +ATK is too strong and the advice is ignored.

They moved toward or past LCY but met with unexpected spawns because LCY was being the wrong type of baddies.

Either LCY didn't mind the Hand group taking the mobs they weren't pulling, or LCY busted the train from Hand group passing through.
