Moderna vaccine gave me cancer

Jk, but I may actually have cancer. Had a small lump on the right side of my neck (prior to ever getting the vaccine), went to a dermatologist which was a mistake. This dermatologist seemed to completely not give a shit, felt the lump for like 5 seconds, then prescribed me an antibiotic saying it might be an infection. Yeah….but….it doesn’t hurt, it feels hard, and I don’t have any other sx’s of infection such as fever or fatigue, soooo. Either way 15 minutes cost me $85 after my insurance paid their amount

Lo and behold I take the antibiotic as prescribed and it does nothing for the lump. Lump remains exact same size, no bigger or smaller. Then I get the vaccine, and 2 days after the second shot my throat gets sore and I notice another lump, this now on the left side of my neck under my chin. This one hurts a tiny bit to press on

So then I make an appointment with a nurse practitioner, which is all I can get same day after trying 10+ different doctor’s offices. All primary care doctors are booked until January I was hearing. So what are people supposed to do, just fuck off for a few months?

Yesterday I get in to see the NP. She actually seems to give a shit, feels the new lump on the left side, says that my lymph node is swollen. Then she feels the shit out of the original lump on the right, way longer than the last doctor felt it. She thinks that it’s also a swollen lymph node. I’m like swollen for like 3 straight months, that doesn’t make sense. She says she wants to have an ultrasound of it, so now I gotta get that done

If it’s a tumor I’m gonna name it Marla. Throat cancer is no joke, not one of the better ones to have. I have had several similar experiences and one very recently with my children. Unfortunately it is almost like an auto mechanic you can't really just count on whoever you talked to first to be actually giving you a competent diagnosis.

Trouble is with the medical system each visit costs lots more money and is much more difficult and much more dangerous (getting sick from people in the hospital who are sick) than it is to get second opinions on your car.

Of course they claimed you had more of a chance of getting that type of heart inflammation from covid itself, but I'm not aware of any actual exhaustive studies on which is more likely. But we do know that you can still get covid even if you're vaxed, so would you then have even *more* of a risk of heart issues? Yes and no. Its really depends on the MP. If they really want to be dicks, you can be arrested for everything that a civilian can, under the UCMJ. The only difference is did you do it on base, in uniform, or to another member of the military.

If you assaulted a civilian, you'd have to go through both legal processes. So you'd get punished from your command, then a judge would punish you as a civilian, because you still have your rights.

The thing that comes to mind is like, MAYBE you could get locked up for severely disrespecting your CO or XO, saying treacherous things, making yourself look like a spy. Other than that, all the laws are pretty much the same. Assault, stealing, abuse of power, it is just handled internally when they can. The military hates a headline more than anything.

They aren't getting 3 million, they are charging 3 million. You need to keep you CPT code charges high so you can anchor your negotiations with health insurance companies. United healthcare has hundreds of billions in revenue per year. Obamacare created mega-health insurance companies who have all the bargaining power. No, you have a "contracted rate" with health insurance companies.

So if I'm charging $100 for a new patient exam (99201) and I have a patient who comes in with United Healthcare, I have signed a contract with United Healthcare that says for CPT code 99201, they only have to pay me $40 or whatever price it is.

They can bargain this because they have a population of customers (patients) that you can be "in network" with if you agree to their rate (this is actually a little different with hospitals but its the same principle). Kind of like if you buy something in bulk you get a different rate from what is advertised.

The problem is that with the regulations of Obamacare, its difficult to have enough money to cover all those regulations so smaller health insurance companies have been getting bought up by bigger companies which greatly decreases competition which greatly increases insurance companies leverage on the bargaining table. So now UNH says well we have way more customers so instead of the $40 our last contract had we will pay you $20. So as a provider/hospital you say oh well our price for 99201 is $200 now due to reasons x,y,z so how about we agree to $30? And then next time UNH buys more companies and says well now we will pay you $10. And then the provider/hospital says oh well now we charge $300, etc. And that is how you get crazy inflated hospital bills that say you are being charged a ton but they are only collecting a small portion of that.

I guess I should note that if you don't have health insurance, you will get a bill for $3 million. But even then a hospital is well aware you can't pay that, so you call their billing department and come up with a payment plan like any other collections payments. The hospital will agree to it and take what they can get. There are also actual professionals who will help do this for you. Our insurance rep when my wife was in the hospital was able to negotiate even our co-pays from the hospital from like ~20k to 6-7k which I didn't actually know was possible. The total bill was something like 300k I think.
