My experience is if none of the main rogues there need it, it is a race to snag it first followed by "Haha! Lozerz" or something like that by the winner. It is doing that on a joint raid and lying that makes it ugly IMO. Seem to recall this same rogue getting awfully preachy a couple of months back. I'm sure someone will eventually post some logs for comedy.

It's doable, but you usually won't manage to avoid port in aggro. And if you aren't familiar with the zone, or P99's particular quirks, or the zone happens to spawn banshees in the wrong spots, or Innoruuk is up, or you get too close to a wall/ceiling and aggro something on the other side, you're gonna have a bad time.

I strongly recommend against solo runs for most players.

Remember back when people used to bring computers to Best Buy cause it kept locking up or crashing? Well our best friend wanted us to unhook his PC so he could bring it in after work. So to answer your question, perhaps there is no sword fighting at all, just a nestling together of smooth and occasionally pulsating skin . Eventually, when release is desired, you do a Rocks-Paper-Scissors, and the loser grabs a hold of both dicks simultaneously and attempts to get both off at the same time. Tradition states that as this feat is achieved, both must cry out in unison, "BOOK NOT UP!".

If there was some agreement as to how it would be handled before going up, and he ran over and snagged it, that's pretty shitty. Also, lying to the people you are raiding with about it is shitty.

Its not so bad, but definitely not entirely safe. ALS was not quite able to do a hate raid yet when I did my epic, so sneaky was the way to go. Getting the book the sneaky way was one of my favorite EQ experiences to date, actually, sneaking around behind the see hide mobs was a rush.
