Living in nyc I see a ton of hipsters everyday (99% of whom live in willamsburg brooklyn). At first I didn't get it, all the shitty clothes and attitudes, but I've learned that most of them are actually quite cultured and smart and only get a bad rap because every single one of them does the same "non conformist" thing. I was upset about the way I was tossed out of the guild, but I am not at all unhappy to be out of the guild. Do you think for even a second that there is a guild on the server that I could not join today if I chose to do so, including IB?

To Abacab and anyone else confused about the decline of our old school mumble server,

What we have here is exactly the thing I had tried to prevent and everyone should have seen it coming once Raren got banned from EQ and became a shitty troll. Raren was once cool and well liked by everyone at one point when Mumble was still good, then he starts to talk shit to a bunch of people and harrasses some to the point that they dont even want to go in Mumble and deal with the bullshit anymore.

Simply put - *PEOPLE WERE NOT WANTING TO GO IN MUMBLE ANYMORE SO THEY DONT GET HARRASSED BY RAREN*


So then being the only one who recognizes this is a problem tries to do something about it, i got administrator access and try to do things to prevent the people who didnt want to be harrassed to be able to do so, since Toop and Drolgurd at this time had taken a long break from EQ and havent even been on the server in a few weeks. People just thought I was overreacting and trying to pick a fight with Raren, Toop comes back in Mumble finally, deletes the private channel that Raren didnt have access to so he can intermingle with the people who he previously harrassed.

Tralina several more are harrassed by Raren so as a result Rogean gets his own mumble server and we have what we have now.

You can only have an unrestricted public voice chat for so long until one person ruins it for everyone. Raren ruined it for everyone. He made people want to leave and therefor have the new mumble server get started.

Toop and drolgurd are also to blame, I had pointed this out to both of you and you both ignored it and even supported Raren, so none of you complain about Mumble ever again because this is what you did to yourselves

Its the environment and quality of girls. Think about how many times a night a girl will be hit on in a bar. Maybe, but that doesn't mean one preference is better than the other. Evolutionarily speaking, we're designed to fuck our brains out in our late teens and twenties. The fact that our hormones go into permanent, continuous sexual recession as we exit our 20s doesn't mean that any newly acquired tastes in women are "better". It would be just as easy to argue that an elder man's floundering sex drive makes sexual incentives less desirable, and friendship more valuable. And I'd hardly equate a declining sex drive to moral superiority.

I'm 40 and I totally agree. Life is too short and all of that. You owe it to yourself to be happy with yourself and happy with the people you surround yourself or have sex with and there will be no shortage of people along the way who will tell you what you "should" want and do. Fuck them.

I refrained from pointing out that the only reason his wife married him was because he knocked her up on their 2nd date and he is now so pussy whipped he's lucky to be able to take a shit without permission. Instead, I pointed out that I was dating a girl in her 20's, and my mother loves her, thank you very much, mentioning that "jealousy will get you nowhere" and "you're just mad you got old and completely missed the shaved pussy trend of the last decade." The conversation quickly went back to football.

You will also notice that most of these things that you are "supposed" to want to do by a certain age also mysteriously coincide with the female biological clock. I may decide I want to have kids sometime in my 50s with my 30 year old wife....Too bad if some people aren't able to do that and too bad for others if they let those people pressure or brow beating them into doing it before they were ready or when they didn't even want to. Every life-choice has upsides and downsides. Do what makes you happy, because life goes fast and you only get one of them. And to hell with anyone who has a problem with what YOU want to do with yours or who you want to fuck or not.

You are absolutely correct. While you do owe people basic politeness, of course, you don't owe anyone your attraction. Not now. Not when you are 50. Or 70. And generally the only people who will criticize you for being true to yourself are people who aren't happy with themselves (or the people they married) or who made bad decisions for themselves along the way and are simply envious of you for having not done that. Don't listen to them.

I have to give Atvaata some respect. I remember last spring someone did a poll on who's hotter, her or Tralina, whatever.

Eventually P1999 got DDoS'd, a few of us went to PEQ, Atvaata eventually went there and she was cool as hell, I gave her some gear I already had, she stayed on for a few months, and to be honest I had no idea she was a girl until about a month in.
