It's the truth really, which is my main concern.

IB and FE were set to merge until IB's leadership decided it was smart to treat FE with disrespect. It was apparent they held some sort of superiority complex regarding our guild; so the merger was called off. TMO and FE merging was a direct result of some drama inside of TMO as well as FE/IB merger being a fail. We thought it was the smartest move for both guilds to merge.

This is a very simplistic view on the situation. One that an outsider would come up with and I don't feel that this is the case. We knew how it would look when we were debating the merger. And we know how it looks now. It's probably not worth it to try to explain why this isn't the case. Or at least why we didn't see it as selling out, and still don't. To understand, you would have had to be part of the FE/IB alliance. You had to see how things went down over the course of those months, and been privy to FE/IB merger talk when it all went to shit. I'm not going to get into specifics here, and probably never will. But I think enough people have eluded to it.

I don't know if TMO changed or not. I know that a lot of it's most hated players/griefers are no longer in the guild, and it's leadership has a lot of different people than in the past (no zeelot, dd, eccezan etc). And that these new officers seem to have different priorities. I like the guild and the players now that I'm in it and I know them. Maybe they were always decent if you knew them. Bottom line is, we didn't feel that TMO wasn't FEs enemy anymore after the FE/IB merger fell through.

Taken and BDA would do their best to monopolize everything. Not necessarily because they're loot thirsty to that extent, but because they need to keep their competition down, and the best way to do that is to take targets from them, and be the guild that's getting recruits.

Not sniping nobles on other guilds days even though the agreement allows it until 3 overseers are up. The fact that out of respect of the agreement, we didn't touch the 3 oversees that were up in sky (despawned yesterday by server maintenance), even though they were all holding brass knuckles. Well it's not an official thing. There isn't a list somewhere and people need to meet a criteria. You know, when you see someone enough in VP or elsewhere not dying or doing stupid things but still contributing. You get a feel for who you should be worried about when it comes to pulling a dragon, and who you shouldn't. Naturally FTEs are more noticeable than some things that may be equally skillful.
