Default Debuff Bugs Important!

Casting Insidious Malady
Infects your target with a fever, causing them to become more susceptible to other diseases.
Classes
Shaman - Level 39
Details
1 : Increase Disease Counter by 9
2 : Decrease Disease Resist by 49 (L39) to 60 (L50)

Then Cast Counteract Disease on the target you just Casted insidious Malady on.
Counteract Disease
Cleanses your target's immune system, curing them of moderate diseases.

It will show you have removed Insidious Malady (adds the disease resistance back as well) But if you zone, it appears right back with the counter still ticking down.

Unsure if this working on Tash/etc, as well but confirmed to be working on the following.

Counteract spells should remove 8 disease counters.

A single cast should not remove it at all.

There was a classic bug where it would hide the icon after a single cast, however the detrimental components would stay. This was a particular nuisance in PoFire against Babnoxis.

that might be whats goin on here

based on OP it's removing 8 out of 9 counters, but the client shows it get dispelled (removes from buff bar and DR returns)

until the char is reloaded after zoning and it sees a remaining counter

tash is (1 ?) counter, and from what ive seen it does not reappear after a cure

p.s. weve been having problems with client versus server side with things like Resist Fire and Malo stacking, i know there have been several bug threads created on the topic of buffs/debuffs rearranging on the bar pre- and post-zoning

It's weird that it's removing the detrimental effects as well.

Cause what would happen for Babnoxis if you tried to Radiant Cure or Counteract Poison, the debuff would disappear from your buff window but you would NOT get a "you cured your target" and the DoT would continue to tick away.

Once you removed the proper number of cure counters, you would get the "you cured your target" text and the DoT would stop owning you.

So I think the bug is more that the game is considering it cured when it shouldn't. But the debuff disappearing after 1 cure that doesn't have enough counter to truly remove the affliction, is classic. Or atleast it was during PoP/Mac. Don't know if it was a change between Luclin/PoP that added that though.
