Default Newer graphic models

Hey folks

I wasn't aware I could still use the 'newer' graphics for model's.

Is this intentional? As the main reason my friends wouldn't play is because they thought we'd have to use the older model's.
If it looks like it's a permanent option i'll let them know, great & thanks.

Rich

Kind of a lame reason not to play, but to each their pwn. I think a majority of people prefer the old models, let's make a poll!!! Not an answer to your question, sorry.

It's not supposed to be available - they turned off the models to keep it Classic. If you are able to use the "new" models, it should be reported in bugs.

And please oh please no polls - this has been beat to death. If you want to see a poll, here is one that already got voted on about models (and Nilbog's response to it)

http://project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=1396

And then, a long thread discussing it.

Using New or Older models really doesn't bother me, it was the reason some of my old EQ mates didn't want to play.
The fact they can select the 'newer' models might be the hook to get them to play, even if it is 'wrong'.

I think you can select the new models in the options, but do they actually appear/work when you log in? I don't think they should...

That's what prompted me to post F.Magic, as I wasn't expecting them to work either, all of the 'newer models' I tried appear to work. Odd eh.

A couple of my old guildies said they'd only come back if they could use newer graphic's, yep, lame I know.

All NPC's were the old school models.

*I am running the SoF client & can see that others have also had this issue, i'll report it once they're in & signed up [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

It definitely sounds like it's an issue with the SoF client - as someone else reported the same thing today (another thread here in Tech). I don't use the SoF client, so I'm not sure how or what the fix might be. Hopefully someone else will be able to shed more light on it.

The luclin models where not intentionally taken out or enable . The models not be available on the Titanium client are a side effect of the server have the luclin expansion disabled.

*edit* found the post http://www.project1999.org/forums/sh...?t=3710&page=2 where it explains about what happned with the luclin models.
