![]() I keep hearing that at 51 the ranger gets a dual wield bonus which makes using 2 handers obsolete. I cannot find any documentation on how this works or what it entails. Does anyone have any details on what actually happens at 51 that makes such a change to their dual wield damage?

![]() Scroll down to the damage bonus segment.
https://wiki.project1999.com/Game_Mechanics It's not a bonus specifically for dual wield, it's the 1h main hand damage bonus. People say that by lvl 51 your bonus has become significant enough that dual wielding is higher DPS than 2h, generally. | ||

![]() I see how this could be true, that by 51 the main hand bonus gets big enough to make the math work. However, that page on melee dmg is clearly not 100% accurate, as my level 20 ranger with 85 1hs and 140 str was hitting for more than 2x base weapon dmg with his main hand, which the formula says is not possible. e.g. my max was 22 with a 10 dmg sword. no str buffs on me at all.
(85 + 140-75)/2 = 1.5, so would take the std 2x [You must be logged in to view images.
