Default Error in XML

Ok so I want to start playing again but my new computer will not Install/run the physical Titanium discs. I got Windows 8.1. Anyways so I pull out my old computer ( Windows XP ) to update everything & then do the latest download V36. However, now I'm getting a error . It says error in XML - GUI XML files - check UIerrors.txt Anyone know step by step on how to deal with this error????? Please!!????[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

What does the UIerrors.txt file say? Also, did you happen to have the game open when you tried patching over the files from v36?

I don't believe that you cant get Win8 to read the discs. I would try to dig a little deeper into why thats not working.

I did get it running last nite ...yippee. (On the OLD computer that is). But yes it is a known issue that Windows 8.1 will not run/install older discs for some reason esp if you got the 64bit windows 8.1.

Can it not read the disc at all because then you could just copy the data to a flash drive. Data is data the computer should be able to see it.

Yup that is what I was doing last nite . Trying to get it running on the Old system then copy that to a flash drive then plug it in to my current computer. It supposingly doesn't work for just Windows 8 and that you have to buy Windows 8 Pro pack to run those discs. Something about it not running on Media player but it will run on Media Center which is only avail thru the Windows 8 Pro pack. Windows has gotten to be A-holes . No Windows office & shit . Having to buy stuff separately.....man

No it is not reading it at all nothing happens when trying to run or install...just blank nothing happens. I got the Autorun on & have even tried running as administrator but nada. Thought maybe it was just the disc ....but it worked on my other computer just fine (Got 3 computers).

I got my old system up & running & all connected. It looks as though that is the only way I'm going to be able to play. Tried running it on the new system from the flash drive & it won't launch. Dang it anyway!!!!
