Default skill-ups tied to levels

You know I just had a thought. I think it might be cool if skill-ups were not tied to levels. That way now two level 5 warriors would be the same. One might have 25 skill in defense and another might have 30.

Which brings me to my next point; is de-leveling possible here? If a level 50 warrior got bored and de-levled to 5, would they still retain their 200 defense skill? Of course the only place this makes sense is on PvP servers. ...Just curious.

If you de-level you'll see that some skill numbers are listed in red. This is an indication that your overall cap is one number but your effective cap is another.

It would be cool if spells weren't level dependent.
I would be much more likely to level up my wizard alt if I could scribe Ice Comet at level 4.

Hey, when a nice enchanter hits me with drive-by clarity (it does happen), you're damn right I sit and pretend to meditate. I don't want to seem ungrateful.

It might be an improvement for some.

I was grouped with a necro in an unrest group who insisted on stabbing everything. I suggested that, though it may seem counter-intuitive at the time, she'd get better results by meditating and casting spells instead.

"And waste my mana!?"

Lolz. If I had a dime for every time I have cast clarity on rogues, warriors, monks and bards.. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
