Nah, he's an easy mob to spawn over and over again, you just need to learn how to do it. (this does not mean camping that altar thing with the 3 eyes)

Note his proximity to fantastic four. When I aggroed him, he had no pet, so it looks like he killed off the 3 (most likely 2 as the dwarf dies pretty often) and his pet was dead as a result. Talk about luck!
