If your system freezes then it is most likely a hardware issue. Software simply doesn't have the capability to lock up a system in user mode if it is functioning within normal parameters.
It might be a problem with your graphics card or memory. For example, I know that my 9800 GT overheats when I play Black Ops and will cause my computer to blue screen or shut itself off to protect itself. Your best bet is to start replacing parts with spares and perform a process of elimination.

It could be that you have your fps set up to high, I wasn't having system crashes but the client was crashing. In the options there is a slider bar for max fps, set it around 60 imo, I run mine at 50-55
*edit* But yes it could very well be your hardware is starting to fail and or your drivers are clashing

Temporarily solved -
Right click, properties, compatibility, run in compat. mode for Windows XP, run as administrator, restart client, shouldn't be a problem.

Can you try it without your router. I bet your router (or your modem) is dropping you.
I called Comcast and had my modem changed after watching the lights rest when i went LD every 16 mins.

Also, don't take no guff about it not being the router if you're with Comcast.
I had an issue with it resetting like clockwork every hour and a half and it took several phone calls before I got them to stop claiming it wasn't the router that was the problem. Also: fuck Comcast.

thanks for replies guys. Any chance it could be that my drivers are not up to date? I have tried the run as admin and seemed to work for asecond but ended up not. Having trouble figuring out the driver stuff for the card. Thanks again
