I'm a firm believer that we have no moral obligation to offer non-citizens anything more than exactly what Americans are offered abroad -- a boot once your money runs out.
But we are a nation of laws. These turds, essentially, knowingly tampered with the court cases of these people in many cases by enticing them to leave the jurisdiction. I'm not sure what the crime is, but it should be one.
We have asylum procedures. These people were following them. You have to be a piece of shit if you're going to fuck that up as a political stunt.

What exactly does "fuck up their court cases" mean? You're right, you're definitely not sure what the crime is.
They fully understood what they were signing up for, they weren't misled, and it's a perfectly valid political point to make. Calling it a "stunt" just sidesteps why it was done, which is that bougie liberals who vote for these policies never have to deal with the consequences. Libs are the ones "luring" these desperate people into the country in the first place, which very often puts them in debt to mexican cartels in the process. It creates a huge, obvious opportunity for human traffickers to do what they do. That to me constitutes playing politics with human beings *far* more than sending them on a nice 2 day vacation to a beautiful, abundant city.
