Lol are you really touting 24 cups when the majority came when there were 6 teams in the league?

Habs had a decent run in the 70s but haven’t really been that great since with the exception of a couple years. Keep living in the past though!

idk they look pretty good right now (or the Leafs just completely blew it) - really looking forward to Game 1 tonight i think the Jets have it though

prob gonna be Jets - Avs out west and Bruins - Lightning in the east

Any combo of those teams for the cup final will be a barn-burner

The only reason Stanley Cups is a worthy prize is because of its rich history.
Take all of the years where the habs won the cups and take it away, do you really think hockey is where its at?

Actually, despite obvious leaning towards English speaking team, the habs prevailed.

Remember when they would slash Maurice the rocket Richard and the referee would let it slide, 9 times out of 10 until he just punched a dude and HE got a two years suspension? This is how good at hockey we Québécois are. They used anti French sentiments to take off the ice the best player the league had to level the playing field in favour of Americans.

Toxigen: we'll see. I don't actually believe Montreal takes the cup but once your team lands in the finals, it would be weird not to hope for it.

Went to hang out on a friend's boat about three hours south of Tampa a few years ago. He had been given good seats for a Lightning game, so we drove up three hours, had some dinner and went to the game. The Habs were in town and I swear 2/3 of the seats were filled with croaking beaver-beating snowfrogs.

It was disgusting. I've been to see the Raiders, Eagles, Blackhawks, and Celtics, but I have never seen a more low-class turnout for a sporting event in my life.
