Default I Cannot Create Halflings

Sort of. I can technically make them, but then I cannot enter the game with them. It always tries to put Halflings into the "Tutorial Zone," which the game then says "is unavailable."

This only happens when I try and create Halflings, and I made sure that the Tutorial button was not chosen when creating the character. It isn't chosen for any of the characters I create.

I created, then deleted, a character of every race, and every race appears on my character select screen with the proper starting zone above their head. Halflings, however, seem to start in "Tutorial Zone."

Anyone know of any causes for this?

Hmm, not certain. Make sure you aren't trying to use a hybrid class though as they are not available in classic (ie: ranger or paladin).

This happened to me on a lot of my toons.. I just exited the game, opened it up again, and the char screen would show them in the real starting city. Was able to log in fine after that. Hope this works in your case.

I'll try that, Majuna.

Rangers or Paladins not available in Classic? I thought EQ shipped with 14 classes (Paladins being a hybrid counterpart to Shadowknights). I know I've seen Pallies and SKs in game with Project 1999 already, though I don't think I've seen a Ranger.

Or do you mean Halfling Rangers / Pallies weren't available in Classic, but other races were?
