Green vs Blue
I'm looking to start playing p99 again after several years away, and I'm just weighing returning to Blue versus starting fresh on Green.
Is Blue completely dead? Is Green actually populated enough that it will feel more alive than Blue? How do the economies of the servers compare, and the ability to buy and sell gear on each server? I have enough stuff on Blue that starting a character on there would be quite a bit easier from a gear perspective, but I'm afraid I will regret not starting on the more active server. Any feedback on this dilemma is greatly appreciated!

I've been playing on Green starting this year. There's a decent amount of other people leveling at any time. World feels pretty alive and filled out to me. From all reports, Green is a lot more active.
The mudflation is real. Most folks trading stuff are selling high end gear, so it can sometimes be hard to find what you need as a noob who doesn't have 5k to outfit yourself. But, it sounds like you've played enough you can probably work around/with that.

If you've already got a 60 on blue I'd probably give green a try purely for the population difference.
Blue raiding is steady, leveling on either can be tricky at the moment if you're looking for groups but there's probably slightly more life in the green leveling zones ^^

Honestly don't think there is much difference, both servers are about the same green is just a bit larger. If it were me I would stick to blue where you already have resources you can tap into and gearing is a lot cheaper on blue if you already have some plat.

I'm going to offer an alternative view.
blue isn't changing, green is easily twice as big as blue. blue will die off eventually simply because more people play green. both servers are now at equal timelines, and there's no reason for anyone to play on blue. Now you have a choice, new or old, between blue and green. Green has sustained more people. Blue will fringe out and green will become the new blue. That's just life.

Blue will not die and some people enjoy the small population because they have the entire zone to themselves move around camp to camp. It has it perks not being crowded in a timeline where you have only really 2 continents to go for the top end, a finite dungeon for even leveling.
Also I know someday green will merge into blue. The devs will do it one day maybe years away, just like when green came it was rumored for years with no talking about it. Fresh start green. Some will just not want to start over again like many on blue. Also green has a lot of folk who were too toxic and ruined their reps on blue. Really just play where you want the experience is what you make it. It's time locked so you'll be at the top end sooner or later.

I like the idea of higher pop in theory, but I don't know if it would actually make a difference to me. Low level grouping sounds fun, but those levels go by fast and most of your time is spent leveling in the 50s. And then at max it's nice to see more people around, just not at the camps you want all the time. Even on blue there are still (drug addicted) players who log insane numbers of hours at certain camps. A server with a higher population of that type of player isn't very appealing to me.
