Default [RESOLVED] "Error in your GUI XML files. Check UIErrors.txt."

So I just got my Titanium client all set up, or so I thought. I followed the instructions posted at https://www.project1999.com/forums/s...ead.php?t=2651, and I now receive the error in the title of this thread whenever I try to load the client. Any ideas? Did I miss changing a directory somewhere?

EDIT: I am using Windows 8, if that happens to matter at all. Any other information people might need?

EDIT 2:

Alright. I uninstalled, then fresh installed once again, and messed with it a bit. It will now load a black screen with a pointer, but that's it.

I've downloaded WinEQ2 to see if that will work, but I'm not sure what I'm doing.

I also didn't edit my eqgame.exe file, and the link above makes it seem like I don't need to. Am I incorrect in thinking that?

EDIT: I keep getting an "invalid password" error. I have gone through the steps to create a log in account.

Ditto, I'm having some trouble finding the problem. I followed the Tutorial, replaced files, etc. I'm getting the same GUI error :/

I found my mistake. Instead of dragging over the new files for Project1999, I deleted and replaced the 'resources' 'uifiles' and 'SpellEffects' folders. If anyone is dealing with this problem, try restoring these files from your recycle bin, and take the new replacement files and insert them into the Everquest root folder. Click 'replace existing files' this should correct the issue.

Sorry for the late reply. This exactly. I had to fresh install and reinput the new files in order to fix the issue.

Same error, but I've had the game installed and running fine for 3 weeks

Odd, my harddisk failing? - I'm gonna try and replace the file with the newest one I can find from http://www.project1999.com/forums/sh...ad.php?t=11949 - and report back

Replaced the XML file giving the error, made it to loading screen but crashed half way with a memory related error, restarted computer and now all works well again.
