Lets say Blue and Green merge and we get Purple

Question:

A lot of us have full slots of characters on the same account on both Blue and Green server. Would they allow us to create a new account to transfer Green characters too so we do not loose any characters we spent so much time developing?

Or are they going to force us to delete characters so you only end up with 8 during the merge?

I think they're just gonna make a new server and let green rot like blue.

Start one at current timeline - All patches are in. Exact timeline we're on now.
Start other as progression - Legacy items and all.

But make the /list system only ever work once for the character. So if you /list at manastone you can't even /list at pained soul or holgresh camp a year later.

Solist constantly has awful takes. Erasing characters would be a terrible decision, people would rightly be mad as hell. The point of having different servers should be different rulesets. It's most sensible to let Blue stand as the "locked in endgame Velious era" museum, and move characters to that server as needed, while Green and Red are used for other purposes.

P99 is competitive EQ. If you wipe it all, everyone just does it all again.

About 10 very noisy morons will cry and piss and moan. Most people realise it isn't the items that are the fun part. It's having items others dont have that is fun. It doesn't matter if that's abashii's or polished granite tomahawks.

The haves will always be the haves. The have nots will always be the have nots. Special nursing home servers don't help the situation, they cement the fact even further. At least new servers give people hope.

Wipe it clean. We've been asking to wipe it clean since 2010. It's been broken that long.

Green was meant to be the server that was wiped to make room for another Green.

There was supposed to be a perpetual Green that would reboot every what, 2 and a half years, ish?

And characters were supposed to be shuffled to Blue, so you wouldn't lose all your progress from Green.

But then, it became clear the devs underestimated how everyone on Green was just people from Blue, who had filled all their character slots on both servers, and what a mess that would make, so now nothing happens.

The only way to stay true to their classic vision (lol irony) is to wipe Green completely and start over, and so on.

I agree completely that people will probably just leave forever if that happens.

Devs: We explain clearly before green how character slots will be handled.

Devs: When Teal launched we again very clearly explain how those slots will be handled.

People: fill 8 slots on both and duplicate names.
