Default Level 14 Bard with 300pp to spend. Advice?

I haven't really spent much, wearing mostly leather and Splitpaw hide stuff. My most valuable piece of gear is a Wraithbone hammer that was given to me. But now that I have a decent chunk of low level cash, I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on what the best investment might be.

I'm a half-Elf and I mostly plan on soloing/kiting for as long as possible.

Sod that, get a full set of Bronze & make those Ladies swoon. Jim Morrison wore those Leather Pants for a Reason!

(AC/HP Rings & Instrument upgrades when you can).

There are some better velious instruments than mm gear that you might be able to get cheaper now. I picked up a walrus skin drum from a merchant for 20ish plat, I don't remember exactly. But it had a higher modifier than the mm drum. I haven't seen too many people trying to auction them.

If you're doing mostly kiting, the gear is less important than if you're mainly grouping. Personally I'd hold on to the plat for now

Bronze is heavy as hell... I'd be afraid of being an immobile bronze statue out on the plains of Karana that pigeons would land on and cover with poo.

This is helpful, thanks. I might just spring for a drum 'cause I wanna go fast.

The Bronze bit was a bit of a joke. I remember decking my Bard out in it back in the day. Damn, but I looked snazzy... Until I realized I could barely move.

Money on a snazzy drum.
