Assuming so... TMO was pretty much gone by the time Torvo merged. TMO still existed as I remember but it was a shadow of itself.

That's the thing. They will ply you with loot, but you have to get rid of your "leadership". Eventually they look at who is doing a good job and snipe those from the talent pool. Then they ply their little piggy mouths with the loot they got from the increased raiding population bump they get from the "alliance", and can outmanuver/zerg the other guilds. Then the guild you are in breaks up due to artificial fracturing by this "alliance". Your leadership has gone to an alternative raiding guild. 4-5 people hold on to your guild tag. The people who did not want to join tmo quit/sell their character(tmo buys them), or join some super casual guild. Fracturing what was once a force that could put a dent in their loot armor. All because nobody in the guild takes a long view on the situation and sees that it is bad for the server as a whole.

How many times has TMO done this? 3-4? I can't even remember the guild's names anymore. Enraptured? Didn't an incarnation of Taken do that? Whatever.

This from a guild that is mass recruiting from all guilds lower than them, and one who started as a conglomeration of merged guilds..... WTF are you talking about?

Some key players like Rarartiz and myself stopped playing eqlive after the server merges. The expansions after omens of war sucked so most burned out at that point. TMO had no more raid leaders after that and just became casual.
