Also too be fair plumbing is expensive and hard to maintain in a frozen wasteland like Russia plus rural peasants get by fine without it. It's only a big deal in cities and around like waterways and lakes and beach resorts stuff.

Not so bad with low population density and lots of plants and fungi on healthy land u can actually ferment. Then compost. And if u want to be extra safe rotate crops or do a complex ecosystem like a food forest. Gg.

U can actually terraform a bit with this too. Over large areas. Vegetation traps moisture and changes albedo.

People aren't smart tho.
