with panic animal you dont need to be overly twinked to be effective if you want to solo. back in the day my main was a 50 pally, i eventually sold my stuff and started a ranger right as velious came out, so about this time frame. I pretty much soloed into my mid to upper 50s just using snare/panic animal and with mediocre gear. lets be honest as a ranger your going to be doing alot of soloing anyway as most people dont want you in their groups. Velious is great for this as theres animals in most of the zones and they are still close to places where people are grouping so long travel to group isnt an issue.

Whats a good spot in 40s? I tried TT but a lot of the animals there had huge hp. The Raging Gorillas were tolerable and that was about it. Even with crappy weapons facetanking haze golems in CoM seemed better

im about to figure out that myself. i have a 40 ranger and need to start figuring it out. i spent most my time in velious as there was plenty of animals there, doing wolfs, cougars, griffins and mammoths and stuff. i need to head back out there and see where the best spot is again. i need to rebuy gear though as i stripped him down before i quit and i just came back.
