"Summon: Wisp" Not Working?
Hey guys - just for context, I'm totally new to EQ or P1999, though my roommate thankfully has a moderate amount of experience and helps me out.
I'm leveling a magician, and got the spell Summon: Wisp (https://wiki.project1999.com/Summon_Wisp). When I use it, it creates a Summoned: Wisp Stone (https://wiki.project1999.com/Summoned:_Wisp_Stone). Mt friend says this is supposed to, if it's in a non-bag inventory slot, create light around my character at night. However, whether it's in a bag or not, it has absolutely no effect on the light around me, even in the darkest time of night. I can take screenshots if anyone wants proof. I realize this is a minor issue, but I was curious if anyone has input on if I'm misinformed or doing it wrong. I can't imagine I encountered a non-working issue in my first few days of p1999, so I assume the problem is on my end. | ||

What race do you play? If its a dark elf, they get ultravision. Maybe the effect doesnt show up if the race already has the the best vision?

In your options screen, is bloom lighting effect activated? If not, that may be a reason.
