So every mob dies in 30 seconds and wizard is the only raid class...sounds like...fun...
actually melee is more valbue because with enough of those a wizard wont even get a 2nd spell off.

And yes, everyone in the guild racing through norrath to go beat the shit out of a dragon like a hoard of warriors is totally more fun than 4 guys racing to say I WIN!

I don't mind the FTE concept but do think there should be some level of people from your guild who have to be in zone before you can get FTE. And when I say number of people, like raid force sized number of people. Makes it a bit more of a gamble rather than having a racer in each zone.

It is dumb. You’re making a dice roll instead of rewarding actually fte. Hey remind grandma you want your crusts cut off and no generic Mac n cheese. Gotta be Kraft
FTE isnt a thing. its something p99 invented. The idea is to create a new invention that is more in the spirit of rewarding raid guilds that track a mob and bring a force to kill it within seconds of it popping. Without the same guild getting it every single time through micro optimizations for non everquest mechanics.

But none of it matters because blue is dead, partly because of it being a slave to the non EQ mechanic of FTE. Quarm and other servers where people actually have something to do - because the server isnt run by one guy who practiced eqemu racing mechanics 3000x on a test server and lives 20ms from the zone server - are thriving. Wow who knew.

FTE could only exist on P99 because of the raceline raid rules. Otherwise people would just camp on a mobs spawn with auto attack macros, which is a random. It's a fake thing invented for this server.

AE dispel and silence/fear could be coded in to trigger zone wide a tic before spawn.

But see, that won't happen. The solutions and make-dos already in place will be called close enough, and if you want to make the game play more worth your short time on this earth, you will be told that is not the goal of the project.

This is why at the very least, since this project is neither going anywhere nor intended to go anywhere
