Gnome has an advantage for PoM entrance due to it's small size giving it the ability to hide behind a 'wall' from drake agro.

Farm Plat & Coth your raid to phat pixel loot.
Come kunark guilds will be leveling guild mages to park at specific locations.
Become an instant asset in the future by leveling a mage now.

Shrink yourself with ant potion, directly facing the wall.
Use a classic EXPLOIT to create an eye of zomm 'pet' at zone in. Invite people to your group to coth without an anchor.

I vowed never to make a mage. Had a wizard on live back in the day and people were generally either in one camp or the other.

Trying one for green, its more fun than I thought it would be.

Mage's are a lot of fun yeah! It's a relaxed class, great for people who like to solo and group.

Mage is definitley one of the best classes in everquest and remains very viable and high dps until omens, at that point they kinda dont shine until dodh gargoyle and 2.0

by SOF their pets get gigantic and awesome again and the class is super fun

At the endgame as a mage, you don't do anything except CoTH people to the raid, or lay down row after row after row of mod rods for the clerics.

Your pet is not required for most fights, Your best nuke (seeking flame of seukor) is half of what a wizard can do in 1 cast.

Thats the end game life for a mage, Mod Rod CoTH bitch.

however, if you know how to chain pet, you are an unparalleled plat farmer.

That's the towelboy argument. Healers are just heal bitches and are everyones towelboy. Tanks dont get to do the real dps they are just there to get their ass kicked and are everyone's towelboy. Etc etc every class
