Returning player starting new
Played for a little while on BLUE and decided to come back. Starting fresh on Green. IS green steady? I know it was a more recent server . Possible gonna roll pally or ranger

Both servers are very top heavy and mudflated at this point. Green is a bit more populated at lower levels, but it's tough to find groups a decent amount of the time. Not trying to discourage you by any means, just flagging for your awareness.

green has hit the end-game point that blue has.
green is more active than blue. pricing on green is far higher than pricing on blue.. take it as you will. neckbeards are clamouring over a server reset because they didn't get manastones or holgresh beads so they want to try again.

Don't worry. Green will merge with blue soon.

They said it ONCE when they started green that they might merge them when it completes and have never mentioned it ever again. There's less news about the merger than there is Red 2.0 [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

And why wouldn't they say that at the time? That way they don't have to listen to people whine and yell about something that's years away.

Considering the recent GM poll about if characters should be allowed to be transferred between servers we can easily read between the lines that there are 0 plans to merge the servers at this time and that the numerous posts on the topic are useless speculation.
Both servers are stable, both have more population than needed at the top end hence the volume of raid concerns occuring in the UN discord, green with consitently the larger population as it was created more recently. Until we get to a place where weekly quakes are not needed to quell player on player disputes, high demand mobs actually stay up more than a few minutes past their spawn, draft weeks are no longer needed to keep the masses happy, and guilds have to start merging due to attrition there is no reason to consider merging servers.

Can you link to that GM poll? I don't see one in the polls forum

"People still raid" isn't really a good measuring stick for whether servers need to be merged. In fact, it's kind of the exact opposite.

My apologies upon further review it wasn't GM led, I conflated Viscere with Visceren so you can disregard those comments. Quote:
While we can certainly debate the most appropriate "measuring stick" the reality is all humans are inherently self serving so to have an expectation that the staff would make decisions that inherently would make the time they invest in the game (without any compensation) less enjoyable (more raid concerns, more petitions, more player vs. player conflict) is a really poor expectation to have. I believe the points I laid out more accurately reflect the actual measuring stick that the staff is using to make decisions about the current and future state of P99 as these are the main prisms that they experience the game through.
