I would think also tilling it in to a non-food field/pond and letting the biodiversity of that field/pond compost it into plants that then get composted into rich soil would work well also. Letting the wastewater filter through a solid limestone/stone aquiffer/resiviour -- this solution would also include fungus!
I just bought my stepdad a composter for Christmas. My aunt somehow had gotten word he wanted one and got him a smaller one, which kinda sucked. He opened hers first and I was like “wow a fucking composter! Yknow you can never have too many of those”. No one knew what the heck I meant until he opened my bigger composter next. So now he has two

I still have no idea what they do. Something for gardening? They have a garden at their cabin

Yeah you basically just let all your food waste rot down naturally into nutrient-rich fertilizer\soil.

I make compost for my garden, and some years I'll get random stuff growing in the garden because there was a pumpkin seed or whatever in the compost heh.

That's like the funnest thing!

Also...like plant tea u get the liquid out of the bottom to give plants.

Ours gets all full of bugs n worms which really help break down the cellulouse.

We throw away a lot of really good minerals and stuff that makes our food taste better! No need to fret over food waste when composting!

I could feed a million pet lizards! We got a ton outside! They probably benefit from it.
