At 100,000 light years across. At the quarter of the speed of light. It wouldn't take terribly long to colonize everything. And that is conservative. We have the tech level now. Just not the will. Also we would biologically change during the process. That doesn't mean we couldn't keep seeding worlds with human like forms. The probability that we are seeded or descendents is very high if it only takes like 3-4 billion years for intelligence to grow and evolve.

It's clear to me that modern contemporary man is potentially not the first hominid to reach tech. And our history is very incomplete considering the age of our current monuments and the earliest tools used.

There are lost techniques and technologies...

It's clear to me we've mis-dated Giza. And there was a loss of knowledge and decline of civilization in the Sahara region of Africa.

This world is very fucky. Open your eyes and learn.

There are a lot of potentially habital lil corners of our galaxy at 100 billion stars. Plenty of little nooks and corners to hide out in and use as islands if you can do basic chemistry and transport materials and shielding and water around. That doesn't even begin to count all of the brown dwarfs and rogue planets we are now just detecting...

Like ..

You have to really bury your head in the sand at this point to continue to buy the party line imparted to you by high-school and...a lot of substandard colleges and academics who are more biased, capitalist and partisan than they are scientific.

So some other species has probably fucked around with it before us. Or we are engineered by them for the lulz or some crazy religious reasons...

Liek.

Do u really think humans. As we commonly are... are all that can be lol... we can do better. Most likely will. And there Most likely already are.

What with the universe expanding @ lightspeed and each galaxy travelling further and further away from each other for billions of years (sorry to the clueless religious) means that the chances of two capable lifeforms encountering eachother is infinitesimally small.
There is no conspiracy theory (about UFOs), but they are defo hiding something. I mean they have top secret stuff but its not actual UFO stuff.
Hell, if i was hiding something from the masses id let them run off with whatever (other) conspiracy theories they come up with. I mean thats a great cover.
On da news we see an airforce officer say what you people saw was a weather balloon caught in a wind storm blah blah. Conspiracy nuts see this and say BINGO! Gottem.
But please, continue its hilarious.
Space only expands that fast outside gravity wells, ie only outside galaxiy clusters and filaments. If a single intelligent species made it to the stars in either our galaxy or Andromeda only 100 million years ago (nothing in cosmic timescales), they could have a von nuemann probe around every star in the galaxy by now (assuming well under sublight speed, even.) Nevermind 1 billion years, 2 billion years and potentially tech we can't even conceive of.

Not saying it's likely but it is absolutely possible that the universe is teeming with life and life's junk. But in that universe, are we interesting enough? Probably not.

Always thought the expansion was more of a gradient. So the further out the faster it's going. At that distance it's not really ripping anything apart it's all just moving away faster than we can reach it. This doesn't imply acceleration. Like it's not faster just cuz it's farther. Just that the far stuff is just too fast to catch upto within a single light year. Close stuff isn't even necessarily running away from us. In our species potential life time it's likely we'll be in proximity to another star aswell. I forget which. It's all googleable. Questions like those are fun stuff.
