Heartbeats seems like a harmless name, and I don't feel as though this theory would apply, but my thoughts were that they went around changing people's names because of the copyright infringement possibilties. They want to save their(our) asses from anything possible. I could be wrong though.

But like someone said, I think if you go about it nicely you may be able to get your name back.

It's WAY late in the game to be doing this naming convention nonsense. 3/4 of the server would have to have one or BOTH of their names changed. Though there are about 1/4 I'd personally love seeing changed, Heartbeat? seriously? on my personal obnoxious meter it doesn't even tremble.

Regarding the quest issue:

Due to the way quest hand-ins are coded in EMU, multi-questing does not work. That also means that in order for a quest hand-in to work, ALL items must be handed in AT THE SAME TIME. That's just the way it is, here. If you don't have everything, and have already started handing in, then cancel the trade, and go get what you need.

Hey Heartbeats, I remember grouping with you around crushbone a lot. Mine name was changed too.

I'm starting to get pissed off that this server seems to be about enforcing every rule and fixing every bug that gives players an advantage or the ability to have fun and leaving in all the rules and bugs that make the game more difficult and less fun. The never ending argument about what is "classic" always seems to sway towards making the game suck more.

I just logged in, and I see a GM standing here next to, among others, Motrin (haha, he's a cleric), Funeral Forafriend, Taxi Driver (haha, he's a druid), Marley Thebob, Sicc Boy, Burlystache Whiskeybreath...should I keep going? I'm sure Richgurl will log on soon with the casino spam that GM's have undoubtedly seen, because she does it right next to them. It is utterly fucking ridiculous that they changed my name.
