Ever get out to Alpine, Marfa, Ft. Davis area in west Texas? Been on vacation out here, and, well, it's damn nice. The hiking is beautiful, and the McDonnel Observatory is well worth the drive.
I'll have to check that out. I've never really been out that way and I'm not experienced with west Texas in general

Go to Carlsbad Caverns Ntl Pk. Nice epic dungeon crawl. (Yeah I know it's in NM lol.)

They should make Texas bigger. NM cut the corner.

Texas was bigger. It uesd to include most of NM and go all the way into Colorado.

It's desert with foliage. Hilariously dry grasses. Good hiking too. Stupid long drive, but worth it.
