Never had a guard at any of my schools. Columbine happened right out of high school. They blamed video games such as DOOM, something nudoom can't boast. No counter-culture to be found there.

Once they fought for liberty, now they fight to wear shackles.

Not American, no guards at mine either. I did, however, learn how to shoot at my school (not other students though). And fly. Don't think I remember any of it any more. Not generally useful for day to day life.

I liked campcraft and PE though.

I was a junior in high school when Columbine happened. My school had 1 city police officer assigned there, but he was old and fat. He only ever just sat in his office. Don't think I ever saw the guy out of his chair.
