Solo Artist Challenge

As with most fights where a level 50 merchant NPC that hits for 140 and dual wields is available, its a lot of sit back and wait. (Unsure if sarcasm, at 3AM my sarcasmmeter is not functional)

The CH interrupts and dispells were the only causes for concern.

Setting up the pet properly with 2 junk buffs, Hasting it and praying for interrupts makes soloing Verina (and Vessel/Tangrin/Wraith) pretty straight forward. All 4 of those fights I soloed using the same strategy as Verina. Charm, Weaponize, Haste, DS, and Robe Heals.

Grats, Daldaen. A+ for pulling with 2 spells to bury charm/haste. It's almost like you've played this game before.

On a side note, if anyone else is going to be soloing Verina any time soon and does not need the Ench epic piece... I'll gladly take your place in line, or plead for loot rights.

Ixiblat Fer - Duo by Liia and me.

Liia and I had been planning to duo ixi for some time. In fact we had tried in the past but failed when he went into enrage.

I think I will spare a lot of discussion for this one and instead post pictures.

Here, we are prepped for the fight and I am about to pull. Liia has the ape and I have slixen who is out of the picture. Note that I have pet up.. purpose is to regain some mana when I get back.

Ixi at 89%. Pet had a tash stick which made it easier, and I landed slow on 3rd or 4th attempt. Note Ixi's DPS - max hit around 575. Also note that, while he has 32k hp, his regen is very significant and that is why 2 pets only brought him to 89% after 3-4 slows.

Getting him down, now at 63%. I believe my pet broke a bit before this. Liia's pet didn't break for the entire fight - lower lvl pet so as to avoid CH interrupts.

We also got an add at this point, not in picture but liia hailing sarnak avenger.

27%... my HP and mana are low. I had been trying to malosini him then trying to slow him toward the end. Neither would stick - unlucky.

Ixi is at 10% and enrages. Pets would eat enrage and die, so I go in to tank. Note that, here, I have torpor running as I walk in and liia begins to use mana heals rather than BP - I think she used some DL heals.

Ixi at 4%. You can see his dps here on the middle chat bar. Note his AOE on the left chat bar hits frequently. He does a lot of damage.

All in all, a great fight. Went much smoother than I remember it last time. I had also tried this with loraen a couple times in the past and we failed.

Liia is awesome... Most of the credit goes to her. I feel as if I did very little except slow and tank enrage.

Well done Svenn, once it was slowed I pretty much only needed to click. It was definitely easier than our first attempt. Let's try something harder now!

Zing! I actually failed on this with Liia once or twice too; it's all about the enrage. I think we could have gotten him with a few more attempts, but shaman with strings is just better than enchanter because of the 6 min slow. I'm kind of surprised you didn't just tank him the whole way TBH.

I think Ixi might be doable with War/Shm/Nec without any strong clickies. It's just the perfect fight for a necro: between healing the warrior, charming slixin, and a 10 minute fight for dots to tick you get to use all of your best abilities!

Now that the Noble poopsock is dying down, I wonder if Noble Dojorn could be handled by one of those Pegasi and a BP cleric. I would guess not, unfortunately.

I think you guys might be able to do all three royals if you got someone else to pull them to the zone for you (Speedi, maybe). They would definitely be tricky fights though between dispell and gate and so on.

The funniest would definitely be a shm/clr kill of ragefire entirely with damage shield potions [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
