For me, it wasn't just them making money - it was all the tricks and tactics they've used since the lawsuit started to remove negative comments, put on a facade towards their donors, and generally just act like grifters.

All of their arguments in court fell flat. Probably more because their lawyers were out of their league against DBG lawyers. But - they have done alot of damage to their reputation in the eyes of many by removing (mostly valid) criticisms of their business plan.

They also really sneakily, as someone here pointed out, tried to get an agreement with Daybreak by lying about the nature of The Heroes Journey.

They are grifters. They may not have started as grifters - but once the money started flowing in - they played by every rule in the grifter handbook.
lmao I just sent them another 100$ with a thank you from sammohung.

Yeah that's a good point, once I saw that it was kind of comical.

MMOs suck today because the impetus is on investment firms getting a ROI

Instead of 2 dudes making their dream game.

Instead of 2 shut-ins making their dream game copied from one of the most popular titles of all time with a built in cash shop to pad their wallets.

The two dudes' dream game was copied from someone else's property and altered so the two dudes' dream game would compete financially with the owner of the copied property in the same marketplace.

Were it just an emu, then it would have read like so: The two dudes' dream game was copied from someone else's property and altered so the two dudes' dream game could be played with their friends.

If Warren Buffet bought Qwik Trip, would the Piggly Wiggly be forced to go out of business?

Guys, they are not implying they created the artwork themselves.

What the hell is wrong with these people.

You are all literally stealing everquest right now.

You really should take a look at how/why the original emu was created. Especially take note of the freedoms expressly given to the original reverse engineer.

I bet you will be suprised.
